Nutritions Pathway and Careers - Nutrition is central to health promotion and disease prevention as it enhances the delivery of many services, including dietetics, public health nutritionists, dentists, nurses, physicians, and others. In this brochure, you will find key information on various educational routes in nutrition-related fields. Building Healthy Communities - A 10-year, $1 billion program of The California Endowment aimed at making 14 communities across California healthier by improving employment opportunities, education, housing, neighborhood safety, unhealthy environmental conditions, access to healthy foods and more. My Plate - The USDA's food guidance system comprised of the new MyPlate symbol and other materials to help Americans make healthy food choices and to be active every day. Let’s Move - A comprehensive initiative dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity by putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years combining comprehensive strategies with common sense. Latino Health Access (LHA) - An award winning, non-profit organization created in 1993 to assist with the multiple health needs of Latinos in Orange County. Orange County Health Care Agency – Orange County Health Care Agency is a regional provider, charged with protecting and promoting individual, family and community health through coordination of public and private sector resources. USDA Hispanic-Serving Institutions National Program – An innovative program at the USDA in support of a workforce and educational program reflective of the needs of a diverse population accomplished through targeted partnerships with Hispanic-Serving Institutions and other public and private entities. USDA- United States Department of Agriculture - Provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, and related issues based on sound public policy, the best available science, and efficient management. Dear Students, The University of California system has some great resources available on its graduate admissions website to assist students who are exploring the possibility of graduate school.
I hope you take advantage of these resources offered by the University of California. Once you have done thorough online research, do not hesitate to contact individuals at the campuses.
